QwikSlip

Privacy

QwikSlip helps a teacher collect permission slips. The first pilot is one classroom at St. Hubert School in Chanhassen, Minnesota. This page describes the product as built for that pilot. It is not a school contract and it is not legal advice.

What we store

Student records hold a name and grade. Parent records hold a name, email, an optional phone number, and whether they want email or, later, SMS. Students do not get login accounts. We do not build public student profiles, and we do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.

When a parent signs or declines, we keep an immutable record: who responded, the email and link token, the server time in UTC, IP address, browser, the event and student, the consent version and its SHA-256 hash, the typed name, an optional drawing, the decision, and an HTML receipt.

Who can see it

The teacher who created the class can see the roster and slip status. Parents only open the slip tied to their private link. Hosting and the database are intended to stay in the United States (Vercel and a Supabase us-east-1 project).

School records

When a school directs a teacher to use QwikSlip for school business, the product is meant to be used as a school official under FERPA, limited to the educational purpose of collecting permission. A formal data-processing agreement should be signed before the school expands beyond the single-teacher pilot. Parents are the adults giving consent. We collect the minimum student information needed for the slip.

Retention and correction

Signature records are not edited after they are stored. A parent can ask for a correction to a name, email, or other contact detail. The teacher can also fix roster details and can export the class as CSV. To ask for a correction, use the form below or email privacy@qwikslip.com.

Messages

Email is the only channel we send. A parent can save an SMS preference, but text messages are not sent in this version. Email is delivered with Resend when that account is connected.
